School Council

We are a very active and enthusiastic group of pupils who want to make a difference at Ysgol Bro Dyfrdwy. We have been elected by our peers to represent their voice and raise issues of importance with Mrs Fell, the Headteacher and School Governors. We also take forward projects on behalf of the school pupils. We also believe strongly in raising money for charities that help children and people less fortunate than us. Over the time the Council has supported many charities both locally and nationally. Some activities we are working on are school playtime and Golden rules to keep them up to date. We have listened to the voice of our peers and improved play time by funding play equipment for all classes, large posters around the school and a climbing wall on the school wall. To be effective, we as Councilors need to: · represent all pupils as best we can. · take time to listen to all pupils and to communicate their voice. · feedback to pupils on what happened about their views / ideas. · make things happen - or explain why this is sometimes not possible. My name is Gethin Mollison White and I am the Chairman of Ysgol Bro Dyfrdwy Council. I live in Llandrillo and love playing football. My favorite subject at school is mathematics. I have a sister called Erin, who is 6 years old, and is also on the School Council. I am very proud to be Chair of the School Council in my last year at Ysgol Bro Dyfrdwy. I hope I make the right choices for school this year. I would like everyone at the school to be happy as a cuckoo and support children at Nabongo school, Uganda.
